Transpyr video highlights: Winners Steffen and Rémi and their best race moments

With their win at the Transpyr 2016, Steffen Thum and Rémi Laffont of Team ROSE Vaujany fueled by ultraSPORTS were victorious at one of the hardest mountain bike stage races in the world. Take a look at some of their best moments on video.

At the Transpyr, riders take on a course that cuts through the Pyrenees from the Mediterranean to the Atlantic. Steffen and Rémi rode seven tough stages through these Spanish mountains – 785 kilometers (488 miles) and 20,000 meters (65,617 feet) of climbing. Both recall moments when they had to mutually encourage each other to keep going. Their winning formula: incredible conditioning, Rémi’s familiarity with his home region in the Pyrenees, and total respect for each other. As marathon specialists and GORE BIKE WEAR® athletes, they earned the yellow jersey on the first days and never gave it up. They stood on the podium together as overall team winners. We have captured the best moments on video of these two Transpyr victors to share with you:

The Dream Team continues on its road to success: Rémi and Steffen also won the AlpsEpic:

Directly after the Transpyr, these two bikers from Team ROSE Vaujany fueled by ultraSPORTS were at the starting line for the AlpsEpic as a team. Despite Rémi sustaining an injury, they crossed the finish line of this five-day race through the French Alps as overall winners. And that’s not the end of it for this successful team when it comes to stage races. In 10 days, the Transmaurienne is on the schedule for their next race. We have our fingers crossed!
